Often in my line of work we measure our success and accomplishments on the latest/hottest music video or most recent artist we danced behind. But going back to my high school to be a key note speaker was a highlight for me. So thank you @indianaacademy! Never would I have imagined being asked to come back and speak. I was shocked at even the invitation.... Some of my classmates have gone on to be doctors, PhD’s, lawyers, etc.... So in my opinion I thought I was such an unconventional choice... like you want the girl who shakes her “behind” on stage and tv to be the key note speaker lol 😂... anyhow the trip home put things in perspective for me... it forced me to reflect on my life and decisions made that have gotten me to this point and the roll that the people around me played in shaping who I am today. All the while inspiring me through all the fabulous, talented, and gifted students I had the pleasure of talking to and getting to know over the two days back at my alma matter. I’m so excited to see what the students of 2022 accomplish and cannot wait to see them flourish! @indianaacademy_class_of_2022 Congrats to all the students graduating this year....
