Paris is never a bad idea. Truth be told, my husband was a little worried about me taking the girls to Paris on my own without him, but in the end we are so glad we did. They fell in love with my favorite city in the world the same way I did. They actually appreciated how “old” the buildings were and thought it was so cool that it was a huge city with no sky scrapers - that you could just see everything. The huge castle in the middle of the city (the Louvre) and how big the Eiffel Tower was. Bottom line - take the trip. Your kids will rise to the occasion in a way you don’t expect. Even for Lily, who is 5, was on her best behavior and being out of her comfort zone pushed her to explore and try new foods, walk without complaining (10am to 8pm straight one day for the little bubba). And a pro tip - bribe them halfway through the day with a toy store expedition. We did it both days and it worked. Also bought us some shopping time. And thank you to my amazing friend @tiaromano for telling us about @lebonmarcherivegauche art center for kids while you shop. We didn’t take advantage this time but definitely will next time (she has all the insider tips on Paris by the way and is my coolest friend in the world). Paris thank you for the memories and for opening my kiddos eyes up to this beautiful big old world. Bisous, The Gormley Girls
