In honor of the beginning of Hawaiian History Month, we are sharing this post that we posted a few months ago. We will need to have critical conversations about terms like “savages” and “prostitutes,” as we continue to interrogate violence in the US.
Given the recent discovery of the US Navy's concealment of jet fuel in the Navy water system AFTER the military and the state health department declared it was safe to drink, we must recognize the long standing colonial violence that is the US occupation of Hawai’i.
