Veins of Iceland 🇮🇸 🧊 🪨 It's weird to think that glacial melt in the summer, travels from the top of a volcano, through kilometres of braided rivers, eventually reaching the ocean. Only to be deposited back on top of the glacier when it snows in the Winter. There are so many canyons along the south coast of Iceland, that are so beautiful they feel like they shouldn't exist. But this cycle of glacial deposit and melt is what carves them from the earth, forming those canyons and also rivers like this.
