Rwandan music scene is buzzing with the talent of rising artist Kenny Mirasano, who has released his debut album titled Yewe Muntu. A graduate of the prestigious Nyundo Music School, Kenny Mirasano is known for his unique blend of traditional Rwandan music (Gakondo) with modern sounds, creating a distinct "African hybrid fusion." Yewe Muntu is a 10-track album that showcases Mirasano's skills as a singer, songwriter, and storyteller. The title, which translates to "Oh, Human," reflects the album's central theme of humanity and its diverse experiences. The songs are a mix of messages promoting love, peace, and truth, as well as stories about life's challenges. The album features a collaboration with fellow Rwandan artist Bushali on the track "DAYIMONI." Since its release, Yewe Muntu has been celebrated with a series of concerts and a nationwide tour, bringing his music to audiences across Rwanda.
