I spend a lot of time looking at the finer details and practising the art of negotiation. It’s about team work ...keeping our cool, and the occasional 3am wake up to catch a flight to Portugal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For our AW22 collection, we have three placement prints. More complicated than it sounds. Placed prints need precision printing, patience, expert cutting, and Vera. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Vera is our pattern cutter at the factory. Rach and I had flown to Portugal to work through the specifics, on the particularly challenging Bandana number. The collection was launching in days. Within seconds of all being in the room, Vera spotted a mistake on the placement. We had to reprint (the fabric was recycled into some very fancy car seat stuffing). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bacon saved. Now I look at the flowers matching on the leg of our Bandana Pocket Set with particular pride.
