This year, 26 adaptive sports athletes and survivors of gun violence, between the ages of 18 and 56, participated in @ChicagoParks sports programs for free thanks to @moveunitedsport's $7,500 Survivor Adaptive Sports Grant. The generous contribution also supports our already existing adaptive sports programs, including Archery, Cycling, Wheelchair Softball and Wheelchair Basketball programs. In addition, the funding is used to update equipment and gives program participants the opportunity to explore more programs, and continue to compete free of charge.
