My cousins and I are basically our own #attan troupe here in SoCal. We’ve practiced for many family events at a young age, preserving a piece of our culture by performing what’s known as the national dance of #Afghanistan. This past wedding, my little cousin Henna was officially inaugurated into our group. Not only was it her first time performing, but she ended up surpassing all the veteran cousins by being able to attan with multiple spins. Did I tear up in surprise the night before during practice? Lol you bet I did. Couldn’t be more proud of her. ♥️🇦🇫
