Wow!! What can I say about these guys?!?! They left the academy on Thursday at 3pm to head to the airport, once there the flight kept getting delayed and 26hrs after the flight eventually took off to land in São Paulo at 2am, they jumped on a Uber traveled one hour to another airport and caught a flight to Rio at 6am... once in Rio they Uber to the hotel to drop their bags and head straight to the competition. Just those 40 hours of travel no sleep and bad food would have been enough for anyone to pull out of the tournament. But these guys got to the tournament and realized they were 6 pounds over, ran until they made weight and did five matches each to take gold and silver back home. They are true inspiration to everyone and I’m very lucky to have them as friends and teammates. (@zercosta & Daniel Paulino)
