Today we’re celebrating Independence Day of Ukraine, but today is also half a year of w(a)r. I thought I’d write a big-big caption for this post, but I after all these months I don’t know what else to say anymore. Those who care, know what I feel and think already. Those who don’t, won’t change and probably won’t even read this anyways. I am Ukrainian. I’ve never defined myself as anything else and never will, no matter where I live and what language I speak. I’ve always been proud of my background and always tried to educate people on what my country and people are. It breaks my heart that the w(a)r had to happen for the world to know, see and hear us. We are independent nation of free-spirited, brave, soulful, honest people. We are peaceful, but we will fight back to protect and save this peace. Unity and dignity is in our DNA, so every time they try to destroy us, we survive, revive and thrive. This is the glory of Ukraine 🙏🏻💙💛 Glory to the heroes!
