A few weeks ago I popped in to @excellentedges HQ in Ringwood/VIC/AU to hang out with the team and get my scissor kit sharpened (cause damn man, it needed it) It’s great to see that even the best scissor makers/sharpeners in the world (my educated opinion, but feel free to argue with me via DM - but bring your cast iron scissors with you please.) are really just a bunch of down to earth Aussie clowns. They are amazingly talented, knowledgeable, great ethics and have helped convince the global industry that we need to appreciate the highest quality of tools. I Couldn’t believe my luck that my mate @tomwhite_samesamebutdifferent was there filming an awesome cutting tutorial which you must look out for! This business was founded by the late Tim Payne in 1988. And they have lead hairdressers from a 1 single scissor approach, to a personalised kit through creating genuinely smart and innovative products that always get me excited about cutting hair. They got rid of everything that made hairdressing scissors bad and added more then we could ever dream of. Every time I have upgraded throughout my career, it’s been a delight to get back into the salon to push my skills further and fully understand these tools.
