In an interview today I was asked, 'Why Rum ?' I replied, "Because it's in my blood. My parents are Jamaican and of enslaved African decent. So it is part of my culture. The rum industry was built on my ancestors and family's blood, sweat and tears. So why should I not take ownership of my own destiny through Rum ? It is more than a spirit. It is a way of life."
