I never knew it would be me…but it is. Waking up at 4:30AM for a 14 mile stroller long run is tough. I don’t just make these sacrifices for myself, but for her. I didn’t want to skip my run, but I also knew that waiting for later in the day would have her sitting in the stroller for over 2hrs in the heat…and I’d rather not have her in that position. This weekend made me proud of myself, as an athlete, as a mom, and as a role model. This run wasn’t just for me, but for my girl too.
