In October we drink more outdoor tea, as it is not too hot, nor too humid here in Taiwan. October is the height of autumn, the metal element. At the height of the season, we often want to discipline the element, which is at its peak. And that means turning to fiery teas. Traditionally processed oolong is perfect for this. On colder days, you may find that you want to nourish metal, especially if it rains.
