I just got home from one of my happy places. @rancholapuerta is a destination spa in Tecate, Mexico where I go to re-center and refocus and get away from the noise. This is the 5th time in 20 years, I visit. It was a special trip. I got to share it with best friends since 3rd grade. We laughed, and cried, exercised and relaxed, and danced to Olivia Newton John songs. Rancho La Puerta was started 70 years ago by Deborah Szekely and her husband. This year, she turned 100. Getting to spend time with her and hear her pearls of wisdom is always a treat. Even at 100, she believes in looking forward and not back. She laughs easily. And she tried to make a difference. She has made an enormous contribution to the town of Tecate and to the people like me, who get to enjoy what she’s built.
