10 Day Detox - Day 3 💚
Today we’re hearing from Sports Performance Coach & Wellness Expert @rubentabareswellness. He’s going to take you through his top tips for wellness in 2023, and also showcase an easy warm up routine that everyone can try at home!
Tip 1: It’s really important to drink lots of water, especially whilst on a detox. If you’re dehydrated you cannot perform at your best, physically and mentally. If you’re not used to drinking lots of water, then increase your intake slowly. Try drinking an extra glass or two every day until you hit 3 litres per day. Your body will thank you for it and you’ll notice a massive difference in your mental and physical capabilities.
Tip 2: Go to bed earlier. Use this detox period to set a good sleep routine that you can continue after the 10 Day Detox is over. People that go to bed earlier and wake up earlier have been seen to maintain a healthy body weight but also, more importantly, get better quality sleep and feel more refreshed when they wake up. Your body needs good quality sleep to rejuvenate and repair itself so don’t overlook this simple change!
Tip 3: Long term detoxification. Our bodies become toxified over time from many different things - some you can control, like the food you eat and skincare you use, and some you can’t - like pollution in the air you breath. For the things you can control, try making simple swaps to reduce the amount of toxins you come into contact with on a daily basis. This can include swapping everyday products like toothpaste, household cleaning products, and cosmetics to organic and natural options.
Now let’s move on to a flexibility and detoxification warm up that you can do before a work out, or every morning to gently get your body moving and ready for the day.
