7 things to do before you have your makeup done! @Charlotte Tilbury is doing my makeup! Well not Charlotte herself, but one of the brand’s pro makeup artists! These are the 7 things I did to prep for my makeup appointment. Save this for when it’s your turn to get your makeup done! As a pro makeup artist I haven’t had my makeup done in 15 years (since my wedding)!!! I’m going to a black tie situation tonite and jumped at the chance to have someone else do it. I’m also doing it early enough that I have time to tweak if needed! Here is how I prepped AS a pro makeup artist to HAVE a pro makeup artist do my makeup. 1. I have a photo of how I normally do my makeup so he can see how I do my brows and overall vibe. 2. I have some inspo photos for him but really want him to do whatever he wants! I tried to choose someone with similar coloring. 3. I did NOT do a sheet mask as I find they can cause pilling before makeup. 4. I did my normal skincare about 45 min prior to give it time to absorb. 5. I wore a top that doesn’t go over my head and bonus it shows my chest. This is helpful with a spray tan, so he can match my foundation. 6. I have MY lash curler and mascara on hand. Pro mua’s have to use disposable wands and they often times aren’t the best, so he may like using my mascara. 7. My hair is pulled back and out of the way so he can beat my face!
