I stood here for a good while watching the sky change it’s colour from beautiful warm golden tones to this dreamy like dusky pink just like a candy, it was a moment to savour. Alberobello is small enough to explore in a day, or there are plenty of converted houses to spend the night in. The steep, narrow roads in the centre are lined with trulli that have been made over as restaurants and sweet stores selling trinkets and all sorts. These rustic whitewashed rural homes are surmounted by conical teepee-like roofs made from stacked stones without mortar. The trulli are composed of irregularly-shaped alcoves that form the rooms and are separated by draperies, except for the bathroom doors. An ample hearth provides heat in the winter while the stone walls keep the dwellings cool in the summer. They are truly so unique and I couldn’t recommend highly enough to experience a night or so in a Trulli ✨ TAG someone who you would love to explore this UNESCO-listed Italian town with 💙 📍Alberobello, Puglia . . . . . #italy #italytravel #visititaly #italy🇮🇹 #puglia #alberobello #italygram #unescoworldheritage #italytrip #beautifuldestinations
