Hot Grill Summer 25 Week 3: Steak #hotgrillsummer25 @heathrilesbbq @recteq_official For this cook my goal was to showcase Heath Riles Simple Citrus Rub and how versatile it is. For steak obviously you’ll want to use the Beef Rub, but Simple Citrus is what really elevated this dish. Here is what I made and how I made it! 🥩 Prime Carne Asada Flank Steak Fajitas with Citrus and Pineapple Habanero Crema Used: Heath Riles Simple Citrus Rub, Garlic Jalapeño Rub, Beef Rub and Pineapple Habanero Glaze. Steak: - 2lb Prime Flank Steak seasoned with HR Simple Citrus and Beef Rubs Carne Asada Marinade: - .5 tbsp HR Simple Citrus Rub - .5 tbsp HR Garlic Jalapeño Rub - 2 tbsp HR Pineapple Habanero Glaze - 1/3 cup fresh squeezed orange juice - 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice - 1/2 small onion chopped - 2 jalapeños (roasted and peeled) - 4 cloves garlic - 1/4 cup chopped cilantro - 8oz Busch Light - 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil - 1.5 tbsp low sodium soy sauce - 1 tbsp ancho chili powder - 1 tsp cumin - 1 tbsp sugar Citrus Pineapple Habanero Crema: - 1/2 cup Mexican Crema - 3 tbsp HR Pineapple Habanero Glaze - 1 tsp HR Simple Citrus Rub Combined the marinade ingredients in a food processor and blended until smooth, added to a plastic bag with the steak and marinated for 8 hours. Removed and patted dry and seasoned the Steak with Simple Citrus and Beef Rubs. Julienned and seasoned one red, yellow and orange bell pepper as well as one white onion with HR Garlic Jalapeño Rub and cooked down in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Seared the steak hot and fast, rested then sliced. Fajita was then built with a grilled flour tortilla, the veggie mix, sliced grilled carne asada, sliced avocado then finished with the Citrus Pineapple Habanero Crema. The flavor was out of this world. Citrusy, Garlicky, Beefy, Jalapeño-y, Spicy and Sweet.
