Surreal. I started 2022 with a goal of taking every aspect of my life to new levels. Now I’m ending the year watching my first solo cover story debuted on @nbctodaysh with an indomitable hero in Corwyn Collier. The fact my editor-in-chief @richdorment said a quote from Corwyn that I told myself needed to be in the article helped get this great man on the cover has me speechless. Corwyn survived death in Iraq, depression at home, and a war in his mind to become more than just @menshealthmag Ultimate Guy (although that’s pretty cool), but a role model to his 3 sons, the kids he teach and people across the world, including a 34-year-old journalist who didn’t know if he’d ever get to the place he is now. I don’t have any 2023 resolutions, but as Corwyn said “You get a mind, a body, and a lifetime.
