Iguanas shed their skins every four to six weeks, but in adulthood it’s closer to once a year. What if it’s necessary for us to shed our skins from time to time, too? In recent months, I’ve more or less been doing the same: closing up my life in NYC, taking time away from work... and generally stripping away layers of identity while trying (!!) to allow the universe to guide me to what should come next. A year older today. Stepping into the next coat of my iguana skin has — and continues to be — v scary. But really worthwhile. ...and if you are unearthing something new in the near future, I hope that it’s bold, it’s bright, and it feels just right.
