Camping is fun. Spending time outdoors gives me the space to think about things and ponder weird ideas. Sitting around the campfire, surrounded by darkness, in between the recurring fear of getting ambushed by coyotes, my mind can’t help but wander. Like what if Earth is an intergalactic zoo? Ok hear me out... What if Earth was originally created by humans as a zoo and each species and landscape is from a different planet in a distant universe. Far far away in all different directions there are tons of planets that we don’t know exist. What if each planet is inhabited by one species with one common environment and Earth is just a collection of every habitable planet in these far away places that we aren’t aware of. And humans seem to be by far the most intelligent creatures here. At least we’re the most dominant (besides bacteria maybe). So what if millions of years ago we were the species to create all of this as an experiment but an unforeseen catastrophic event reset civilization including all the humans involved so we forgot and now we’ve evolved into this and we’re trapped in our own zoo?! Prove me wrong. I could have made a general caption with a quote about how beautiful nature is but that seems boring 🤷‍♂️ Someone should make a movie about this. If you think I’m onto something, you can join my cult... I mean religion. Seems like a fun way to avoid taxes. #campingthoughts
