It's really like that 😬 All discounts, extra product and extra work come out of your profit and profit is what it takes to pay for these things. Do you think a big Corporation is going to pay for your time off or retirement out of their profit? Nope! They make sure their pricing and any sales they have are strategically based around profit. The problem is most small businesses cannot do the same things that big corporations do like sales or discounts because of their financial limitations. They would have to charge much more the rest of the time to make up for it and many clients wouldn't pay the higher amount for us to offer that. This is why it is so important that we price for the profit we need to pay for all of these things and if you choose to discount a little, do it based on a budget.
