My beautiful sons. I love them more than the stars. More than music. Oceans and solar systems of timeless love. I love them more than words can contain. The greatest joy of my life has been caring for them. Growing with them. Protecting them. Adoring them. Praising them when they succeed. Lifting them when they fall. Celebrating their brilliance and beautiful, perfect imperfections. They are my greatest teachers and my reason why. I am grateful every day that I have the gift of being their mother. trigger warning. 🧡 I can not know the sorrow of having them taken from me or hurt in anyway. I can not bear the thought of a government or church stealing them away, perhaps never to return. That is what happened to thousands upon of thousands of parents. It’s still happening. Generations of children taken. Stolen. Hurt. Terribly hurt in unthinkable ways. Killed. This is what Canada and the church continue to do to our children, our families and our communities.
