How to support 1. Donate to our mutual aid fund. Link in bio! 2. You can email us if you'd like to share resources at [email protected] 3. Help us amplify! 4. Mask up! As a part of our mutual aid work, we have donated 900+ COVID kits in the past couple of months to Bay Area communities and partners. More than 100 tests went to Oakland Chinatown elders, where we learned many had never seen or did not know how to use the tests. Our bilingual staff verbally translated for our elders and taught them how to use the kits as well as handed out bilingual instructions. The lack of public health resources, including multilingual services and pandemic survival kits, for our very diverse Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders is a part of the violence we have long been facing. This is the violence that sits on top of our neighborhoods, communities and lands being occupied, gentrified, and colonized. Our communities across multiple Chinatowns, islands, deliberately under-resourced communities - while happening very differently - are being rapidly displaced, while services are at minimum. The violence against our communities is multilayered. This is the violence that mainstream media deliberately fails to cover while maintaining the status quo. That deliberate invisibilization is a part of the violence. Ending these systemic, structural, state forms of violence must be at the center of all of our work. Reimagine everything and work accordingly. #AAPIWomenLead #InSolidarity #WeKeepUsSafe #MutualAid Image descriptions in the comments.
