Well the video is a little shadowed, but if I was standing in the sun that wouldn’t really be appropriate would it? @huntsmancancerinstitute reached out to me to lead a skin cancer screening for @grandtetonnps this week, and I’m so proud of what we accomplished. I found several skin cancers on people, some cool birthmarks, sun damaged skin, and even removed a tick from one of the trail crew workers. Because many of the employees were < 40 years old, it was a unique opportunity to encourage sun protection BEFORE the skin cancers arise. As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I talked about sun protective clothing and reapplication of sunscreen until I was blue in the face. Thanks to all the #nps employees for keeping our parks clean, safe, and preserved—I saw firsthand how hard all of you work, so that the rest of us can partake in the magic.
