Presenting this brand new PTS Lighter Green (hellgrün; formerly Jade Green; non-metallic UNI; 227) 718 Cayman GT4 RS, delivered to our reader @francescofenici via @centriporschediroma in Rome, Italy.
Lighter Green, formerly known as Jade Green and known more commonly by its German name ‘hellgrün’, is a historic Porsche color that was offered on the 911 for model years ‘72 through ‘75. It was also one of the colors worn by the ‘74 911 IROC RSRs. Now, it is a Paint-to-Sample color for the 718, 992, and Taycan models.
While one may confuse this for Mint Green, Lighter Green is in fact darker and warmer than Mint Green. At the first Rare Shades, we had a pair of Mint Green Caymans next to a Lighter Green ‘74 911 and the difference was quite noticeable.
As for the rest of the spec, this Weissach Package example sports the standard forged aluminum wheels finished in Silver, which are paired with the standard iron brakes with optional High Gloss Black calipers. We also see the painted central decorative stripe on the front lid and rear wing, a rare option offered through Sonderwunsch. The deletion of rear model designation also results in a cleaner look out back.
No photos of the interior, but we do see the optional Leather/Race-Tex Interior in Black with Arctic Grey Stitching as the basis. The optional Full Bucket Seats also benefit from painted pass-through trims that match the exterior color, a Sonderwunsch option. My eyes may be deceiving, but I also peep a @pcanational sticker on the windshield.
What are your thoughts on this PTS Lighter Green GT4 RS?
