We recently added 800+ theatrical design renderings to our collections portal! The Museum’s theatrical designs of Broadway costumes and sets for plays, musicals, revues, and opera span from the late 19th century to today. Each of these renderings are by Alvin Colt, an award-winning costume designer who worked on more than 50 Broadway shows. “Lorelei” costume, 1973-74 "Hellzapoppin” costume, 1976 “Something More!” costume, 1964 "Annie Get Your Gun" costume, 1977 “Henry Sweet Henry” costume, 1967 These theatrical design renderings have been digitized as part of an ongoing project to make available approximately 8,000 original costume and set renderings from over 410 New York City theatrical productions.
