CONFRONTATION
Emotional organization tends to demand that our troubles or desires be confronted or supported by a power we deem larger and more capable than the self. A point of view in which all that behooves or beleaguers us blooms from an outside force of monumental and disproportionate power. This may be an absolute truth within our perception. However, the most vital form of confrontation can often get lost in the shuffle. That is the confrontation of our perception in the first place. Yes. The crucial confrontation of the self is what we forget and it tends to be forgotten when it’s needed most. In times of struggle and anger and rejection, we must remember that there is first, and always, individual perception. Confront the mechanisms that lead you to yours. To the finality of your philosophy and the assuredness of your fight. Worry not for what others will scream in battle-cry or chant in support in regards to what you believe. Worry only for the cultivation of your courage. For the challenge of cutting to the quick, of eviscerating the mountains of programming your spirit has unwittingly received and subconsciously ingested since your time began here. There is immense power in recognizing and delineating what you can and cannot control to the presence within. To the presence that governs and motivates you. Remember that you are the captain of your ship and your ship only. How you confront the other travelers on the sea, their wounds, their grievances and their pleas, depends upon the stability of your vessel.
Confront the tightness in your chest and the habitual intoxication of fear, if only for a moment, with a deep breath, a look in the mirror and a gentle reminder that you are here in this experience, once and only once. You are not steam in a man-made pressure cooker. You are a divine thing. Confront that fact. 🖤
