Balayage is a technique that can be used to create different looks depending on the starting point. Swipe for visual examples ⬅️ ***placement for educational purposes only, you can choose any variation of this placement for your " signature" Full Balayage *** The reason so many Stylists feel like they are not getting paid well for the work they are doing is because they are charging for the wrong service. A full Balayage should be around 1 hour in application time. Balayage isn't Blonding unless it's on a level 7 or lighter, and even at that it is not high impact Blonding. Balayage isn't tranformative unless you do several sessions using that technique. Balayage IS a dimensional technique much like Highlights, Foilyage or Babylights. None of these techniques are a look, they are a method to get to a look. We have to define the limitations of a technique when being used in a stand alone service. Just like in a Traditional Highlight service, we have to limit how many foils, product use & length of time, we do the same with Balayage. A full Balayage is really a modern version of a Traditional Highlight but it offers a more gradient look without having to smudge or melt to achieve it. This service should come with a toner, but should not come with any other service. If your goal is not a gradient look, then Balayage is not the right service to book. If you want Balayage to be part of another service, then you have to price the service to include timing & product for both Balayage and something else.
