I received an email today from a young songwriter in Ohio. She reminded me of something that hadn’t cross my heart in a while. From 2008 - 2014 I had the mind expanding experience of writing a series of OP/ED’s for the @nytimes reflecting my creative process of songwriting and other creatives . My long time friend @willschwalbe introduced me to the editors. It is still quite an honor for my heart that I even received the gift of doing this for them. The journey gave me an even higher regard for journalists and their craft. It is a lot harder than you think my friends.
