As a wise man once said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Today we continue to choose light and love as we honor the life, dedication, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This remembrance is both a celebration and a warning to recommit ourselves to actively building a fairer, and more equitable world as we continue to fight injustice, hate, and inequality. We thank Dr. King today and every day for his unwavering work towards social and racial justice. As we take time to reflect, let’s think about what we as individuals are doing for our community as “our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” One way we at MHG can do our part is by making sure we are registered to vote.
