Thank You everyone for a great event @brophyartgallery we strive to bring great people together for our community. Erik Abel’s Art looks amazing on the walls of the Gallery, I was so happy for him to be receiving well earned attention from so many wonderful people. @ripcurl_usa @pj_connell_80 and their team did an amazing job hosting events all week. They have always supported and celebrated artists in their events. I have worked for them many times in Hawaii and the Grom search over the years, everything is always well done. It was especially cool hanging out with some of my old friends and heros, @roygonzalezartz and Tom Curren @curfuffle . Roy’s Art was at the center of the San Clemente surf scene in the 80s paving the way for guys like me in the 90s. Forever grateful Roy. I met Tom in Hawaii when I was kid, he was the world champ. I painted some boards for him and surfed some crazy sessions with him at Rockpiles and Pipeline. He was always cool to me and everyone else. To have him and his family at my gallery was special. His mellow persona and music set the tone for the whole event. Thanks Tom. It made me feel good seeing the caliber of people at the event, many I have known for many years. It made me feel good about myself, and that I have done something right consistently throughout my life. I enjoyed watching the evening pass by, all the people having a good time. @abelarts will be on display in the Gallery for the rest of the month.
