It was so special to cover Shetland’s first-ever Pride celebration for @gaytimes, as part of their #ProudAllOver campaign with @channel4 🏳️‍🌈✨ The Shetland islands are the northernmost part of the UK — and with a turnout of over 2000 people attending, it was so incredible to see that being LGBTQIA+ and living rurally don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Queer communities exist wherever people are – and have done for as long as people have existed. Huge respect to Kerrie Meyer (pictured slide 6) and the team for not only creating a beautiful and joyous event, but showing just how important it is to support our community’s rights outside of metropolitan areas.
