I know not my usual images but a couple months back I went to visit my grandma and she packed some fried plantain for me to take home. I get home to discover the oil from it (had I known would be a tub full) leaked everywhere in my bag including my point and shoot camera which had essentially drowned in it. This is probably why I can’t have nice things but for months I basically left the camera on a shelf hoping one day the oil would vanish. Vanish it did not though eventually we (my dad and I) tried to finish and develop the roll I’d left in it. I feel the results made for quite an unexpected discovery and maybe quite an honourable death for a camera. Not that I’d recommend this method. I call this series “Welcome Home”
