We have succumbed to this expectation about social media that we have to be connected with anyone who wants to see our shares. That it's rude to say no. This creates a lot of insecurity in those of us who want to express our inspiration to the soul-family tribe who would find us and understand. We are being asked to perform our art publicly to an audience full of extended family members and toxic high school acquaintances. Experimentation and creativity cannot thrive in such an environment. One of the best things I ever did for myself was delete all my personal profiles and come back on social later exclusively for my business. It was extreme but I can see now it was what I needed. I now assume that everyone following me is here because they are ENORMOUS fans of my art (my astrology, coaching, and self-expression of all kinds). 🎉 If I notice that the vibe is off with anyone who is engaging (mean girl could have changed, but she still doesn't deserve access to my energy now; grandma is worried I'll go to Hell; ex-nanny wtf are you doing)...I have no problem removing them. Because this is a sacred space for me to express truths to my soul-family community of clients. It's not a page where I share updates about my life for friends and family.
