5 years of Maison Ko 🤎 The first day of the year has been a special day for me these last few years, not only because it’s the start of a new chapter, but because it also marks the day my baby, @maison.ko, was formed. Back in 2018, I was 26 and at this pivotal point in my life where I really needed to figure out what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be. I had always wanted to live in New York and could have easily made the move, but I was at a crossroads because simultaneously, I was starting to get my own clientele for interior design. They were mainly small apartments or starter homes, but still work nonetheless. So either move to NYC... or further plant my roots in LA and start my own company. I think it’s pretty clear which one I chose. I’m so glad I made the decision that I did as I’m pretty certain my life would look completely different today had I not. I get pretty emotional looking back at where I started with this company of mine because not only have I seen growth and maturity in myself and my work, but in my goals with what I want Maison Ko to be as well. Before it was just this pipe dream and felt like a way for me to avoid working a desk job I would eventually get bored of. Yet somehow, with a little faith and countless hours, I’ve built it into the company it is today. Which include: Completed projects that range from residential, commercial, temporary, and events (LA, NYC, Austin)... a growing team (!!!)... truly the BEST clients I could ask for.... product collaborations... just to name a few 💋 I am so beyond grateful for every single person that has supported me on this journey and trusted in me and my vision. I think all the time how my teenage self wouldn’t even begin to comprehend all that he would accomplish. I would not be here if it weren’t for the people by my side through it all. Starting Maison Ko has not only taught me so much about what it takes to run a business, but also about myself, design, and purpose. I can’t even begin to sum up the last 5 years into 10 slides so here are some of the highlights. Thank you.
