"We began our Arctic photo tour in Svalbard, Norway, from the beautiful little village of Longyearbyen. On our first full day on the boat we found three polar bears feeding on the remains of a walrus, most likely an animal that died from something other than a polar bear predation. Either way, there were these bears taking their turn cleaning up the remains. For this image we stayed in the Zodiacs. Shooting from a Zodiac can be a challenge with telephoto lenses. The ocean was not flat and calm, but with a fast shutter speed and the magic of today's image stabilization, we were able to come up with some nice images."
