Carhartt WIP Radio - January 2023⁠ ⁠ For the first show of 2023, Carhartt WIP Radio is welcoming DJ, producer, label founder, and NTS resident @elenacolombi. Colombi’s foray into DJing began over a decade ago, when she moved to London from Italy, and set up a series of successful parties in the city. Her sets became known for their expansive influences and genre-bending rhythms. In 2019, Colombi crystallized her reputation as an eclectic selector by launching her label @osare.editions.⁠ ⁠ For this Carhartt WIP Radio installment, Colombi created a mix that leans towards the softer and more meditative zones of Osàre! Editions, featuring music of artists like Cucina Povera, Ben Bertrand, or Laurel Halo. As ever, the show is accompanied by an interview with Colombi, who discusses everything from how a stolen cassette tape sparked her curiosity in different sounds to what her favorite tracks are for closing out a party.
