Today I pause to remember my grandson, Forrest’s mother, Anne who left this plane of existence far too early. She was a very ebullient and beautiful woman who had her challenges and problems that led to her untimely and tragic death. Nevertheless, she did many fine things in her life, including producing Forrest Rowan Gulick, who is very cool. I may be a little biased because he’s my grandson, but I don’t think that disqualifies me from having a completely accurate and trustworthy point of view on this topic. So today, I’m thinking of Anne and her three surviving siblings and her mother and father as well as Forrest and everyone who knew her including my son, Brooks, who was left to raise Forrest as a single dad doing as well as any one could do. Here’s a toast to Anne.
