ITS MY BIRTHDAY!! And it’s a beautiful day if I do say so myself. Since Its a day of reflection and gratitude let me offer a little piece of advice for those that need it. Do you what do you want to do with your life and don’t let nobody tell you shit. In 1997 I watched Dr. Dre on MTV publicly say he doesn’t care about the gay community or what they think about homophobia in rap music and nobody even bat an eyelash. There was no uproar, there was no cancellation, and he went about his billion dollar life. That moment inspired me to drop out of college and pursue a life as an out gay musician. There was no such thing as a queer music festival. There was no Lil Nas X. I think at the time Elton John was only out as bisexual LOL. My mom thought I was a dreamer and my dad reminded me That since I was born I always chose to do everything the hard way. I know that he’s right but I also know that doing things the easy way is really boring.
