The record breaking Lat35 women's team. 🍍 • The thoughts and feelings that these four must have experienced yesterday evening are perhaps not possible to articulate in any relatable way. 😯 • They spent 34 days on the water. At no point in that time did they walk anywhere, so some of the muscles they use for walking atrophied...a real challenge when you're suddenly meant to step off a boat onto land! 🦵 • They also went from an extremely insular 'pod' of three other people, to suddenly being bombarded with hundreds of people trying to hug them, and tens of thousands of people online sending their best wishes. 🗣️ • On top of this, they are the new world record holders, so were inundated by interviews and questions from some of the world's largest media outlets. 📰 • But...amongst all this...loved ones. Both in person, and on the phone. And those connections can make all of the chaos suddenly go quiet, and make everything ok. 🥰 • Happiness, bewilderment, nervousness, excitment, and pure joy...are just some of the feelings that they may have been dealing with all at once.
