Friendship as a healing place. Friendship as an unmasking place. Friendship as a stimming place. Friendship as a way to understand what safety feels like, what the future can be like, what I deserve to ask for in other areas of my life. Getting more and more attuned to my needs on my #actuallyautistic journey and understanding how important of a love language 1:1 quality time is for me. In group settings, especially with new people, I can feel overwhelmed and shut down parts of me to try and fit into neuronormative social standards.
