Join us on 16 March for an immersive performance of Soweto Kinch's 'White Juju', featuring Kinch, a jazz quartet and conductor Lee Reynolds, and using sound, light installations and video projection to bring the piece to life. 'White Juju', first performed by Soweto Kinch and the LSO in 2021, is Kinch's artistic response to a year of pandemic and culture wars, inspired by events as diverse as Covid-19, Black Lives Matter protests and the toppling of statues. The music blends jazz and hip-hop with classical music, drawing broad inspiration from European folklore, the African Diaspora and national myths, creating a uniquely contemporary tone poem.
