Sullivan, Sully, our man in the middle. We could say so much about this guy, who turned three last week. Sully does nothing by halves. He feels so deeply. Joy. Rage. Laughter. Sorrow. Frustration. Excitement. Hostility. Affection. Love. All of it, all the way. He has a wicked sense of humor and an early penchant for the word “stinky.” Tells incredible stories and possesses enviable dance moves. Puts on his mask by himself like a boss. Eats snow like it’s food. Is gradually attempting to wield those dimples like a weapon. Loves dinosaurs and jungle animals, cars and sticks/swords, cozy pants and snuggles. Obsessed with his big sister and baby brother — and they adore him too. He has spent a third of his life in a pandemic, but he’s managed to adapt and adjust and find ways to flourish. Milestones aplenty this year, of the momentous and the mundane, all made so precious because they’re his. Sully boy, you brighten and enrich the lives around all who are lucky enough to get sucked into your orbit. Oh, how you have lit up ours.
