Come with us to @takumiramen.chicago , a hidden gem just a short drive from chinatown. This might be one of the best ramen places we’ve had in chicago. We got the spicy miso and the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was so flavorful, you can tell it had been cooking for a long time. The meat was so soft and tender and had a great smoky flavor. These shrimp poppers are pieces of shrimp wrapped in fried crispy golden potatoes. The combination of crunchiness with the shrimp blew our minds and we would come back just for this. The skewers were also some of the best we’ve had, we got the chicken and beef. I also loved the beef bun and of course we had to get takoyaki which were really tasty. For drinks we got the Thai tea and the cucumber lemonade which was my favorite.
