This is from 2006. I was a sophomore at Mason Gross at Rutgers in rehearsals for This Is Our Youth by Kenneth Lonergan. I was playing Warren. A part that @markruffalo originated. He was in New York City at the time performing in Clifford Odets’s Awake and Sing! I wrote him a letter letting him know how connected and inspired I had felt to his work and my thoughts and ideas on the character that he had already lived and that I was about to try and bring to life. I dropped it at the stage door, saw the play and then got this picture with him. 14 years later we collaborated on playing the same set of twins in the adaptation of Wally Lamb’s #IKnowThisMuchIsTrue. Life works in mysterious ways.
