The cause is a good one, read below! @mediahour.video @sikkemajenkins @robertsprojects @kavigupta_ Pic by @bbarlo Thanks!❤️ Media Hour Ltd is a Vermont based nonprofit founded in 2020 that seeks to foster media literacy and support the production of video and media works by artists and community members interested in video production. ​ Media Hour currently invites artists to reside at the Media Hour studio in Sunderland VT for two weeks to produce a television program that airs on local cable access television. Each resident creates one television show, with the technical and educational support of our facility, equipment and production planning. The programs become part of a TV series and Media Hour archive that will air around the state, be exhibited in an art context, and also will be hosted at Media Hour for yearly public screening series. The idea is to bring increased artistic content to public television around the state, and to engage residents - some of whom will not have prior video experience - in media production. Starting winter 2022, residents will be chosen through a juried application process. ​ Media Hour received generous grants from The Vermont Women's Fund and the Vermont Arts Council in 2022. ​ Our Director, Chelsea Knight, is an artist and educator living in Vermont. ​ Our Director of Programs and Exhibitions, Zacry Spears, is an artist living in NYC and Vermont.
