Today we dove on Gozo (the adjacent Island to Malta). The wind died down a bit from yesterday but a wild ride getting there! . . 7mill with Farmer Johns on and we were in. First dive we went through two of the most beautiful caves I’ve ever seen much less been in. Thr main chamber is called Crystal Lagoon. It can be seen in the film The Count of Monte Cristo. The Neptune grass was tall and swaying in the current and It was so beautiful watching the anticrepuscular rays piercing through the vibrant cerulean blue. I felt small, grateful and still. . . We were joined by a friendly (but a little mad) common octopus for a while. It was incredible. . . Our second (and deeper 100ft) dive was aboard a WW2 German Mine Sweeper (the P31). It was eerie aboard, swimming through hallways, bedrooms and the engine room. A ship sent to fight, make war and suffering, now a peaceful sanctuary for reef fish. . . It’s equally beautiful from the sky. This place, the culture, history, people and food are magical. Thank you for having us #Malta 🇲🇹
