GUEST ROOM DESIGN TIPS + IDEAS we’ve only had one guest so far since we moved here (probably because we moved in right on the cusp of the glorious summer here 😂) but our schedule is pretty booked from here until the end of the year with visiting family and friends, so I’m back to finding ways to make this the coziest experience possible! some things I kept in mind while designing that I think helped to create an ideal guest experience: ⌓ use an open wardrobe system. this one from @target was on a big sale! it’s perfect for medium length visits so that your guests can still hang their clothes and unpack a bit. this ended up being a big space (and money) saver. ⌓ towel hooks in-room. especially if you don’t have a designated bathroom for your guests, this helps to keep towels separate, organized, and easy to access for them. love these superrrr soft towels from @cozyearth ! (we don’t even have our own, they’re only for our guests! 😆) ⌓ essential oil diffuser. this is a safe and low maintenance way to keep the vibe in a room relaxing and luxe. the Stone Diffuser from @vitruvi is still my favorite for any room experience. ⌓ minimal + functional decor. I grabbed these baskets from @target ($5 for both!) and used them to style some dried flowers and hold some little toiletry items. give your guests a relaxing stay with minimal decor so they don’t feel overstimulated or crowded. ⌓ cozy rug. I love my textured rugs, but for a guest room, I like going a bit softer so that they can be more comfortable! this one from @rugs_usa is still one of my favorites. ⌓ simple decorative bench.
